I'm a published qualitative researcher specialising in dyslexia, SEND and inclusive education. My work has reached peer-reviewed journals, the Council for Science and Technology, and an All-Party Parliamentary Group at the House of Commons. I work with charities, technology companies, local authorities and policymakers in the UK and internationally with companies such as OrCam and Lili for Life, and they bring me in when the evidence has to be right and the findings have to make sense to non-specialists.
Expert witness work
I provide expert witness reports and opinion in SEND and dyslexia matters, including EHCP and tribunal contexts. I write clearly for instructing solicitors, local authorities and families, and understand my duty to the court. Get in touch to discuss instruction and availability.
What I offer
Independent evaluation of EdTech and assistive technology, research design and qualitative data analysis, methodology consultation, evidence reviews, product and market insight, and presentation of findings to teams, boards and policymakers. My evaluation of OrCam Learn, for example, was published in the peer-reviewed journal Support for Learning. All work follows current ethical guidelines from professional bodies.
