Dyslexia Support

Do you or a member of your family find Maths or English challenging? At Helen’s Place, we offer a range of support for young people with Dyslexia and specific learning difficulties including Dyslexia Assessments, Exam Access Arrangements and Tutoring.
We view education holistically and believe each student needs to feel comfortable with their teacher before learning can take place. This teacher-student relationship is key, and we work to ensure that young people are given the confidence and freedom to ask questions and share when they need more help.
We use multi-sensory resources to consolidate concepts to help reinforce classwork. This is complemented with general numeracy support.
Our full range of services includes specialist diagnostic assessments for dyslexia and specific learning difficulties. We also offer maths and specialist dyslexia tuition for young people in KS2, KS3 and KS4 either from our hub in Trowbridge, Wiltshire or online via Zoom. We can also provide support and advice for the family.

All prices include VAT at 20%. VAT Number pending.

Why choose Helen’s Place?

Our founder, Dr Helen Ross, has over 10 Years of experience as a Maths and French teacher and is a qualified SENCo who has worked with both primary and secondary schools to build young people’s confidence and improve their overall academic progress.

Helen is dyslexic herself and wants to provide support to both young people and families that were lacking in her early education. Her inclusive and friendly approach will help young people with Dyslexia grow in confidence and give them the skills to achieve. Find out more about Helen.

All our tuition support is available in person at our hub in Trowbridge, Wiltshire or conducted online via Zoom. These tuition classes are a safe, respectful and inclusive space. Our full safeguarding policy can be read here.

Helen is incredible. From the moment of our first zoom chat I knew she would engage well with my child, because they both sparkle in the same way. Her assessment was brilliant and she was able to put my daughter at ease quickly. The report back that we got was so comprehensive yet easy to understand for parents and teachers. So much so that our school senco now reccomends Helen for all the other parents too. She is far too reasonable compared to many other assessors too which is a bonus and the breadth of assessment is very thorough. I have reccomended Helen to loads of other parents now who also rave about her. She has been so great at further handholds through the EHCP assessment process. Honestly she is BRILLIANT!
