Terms and Conditions

  1. Quotations for our research service are valid for a period of 3 months. After that time period, a quotation will be redone and may be subject to a price increase.
  2. Unless otherwise stated, quotations for research services will represent the maximum priced payable. Where projects are charged at an hourly rate instead of a fixed price, the rate will be clearly stated on the estimate.
  3. All invoices must be paid within 14 days of the invoice date. Where they are not, they will be subject to a surcharge to cover any reasonable losses to Helen’s Place.
  4. Should you wish to cancel INSET, you must give at least 2 weeks’ notice or you will be charged for the session. Further details of cancellation charges will be detailed on your invoice and quotation.
  5. All lessons must be paid for in advance or at the time of the lesson.
  6. We can accept cash, cheque, cards or BACS.
  7. You must give at least 24 hours’ notice of lesson cancellation otherwise you will be charged the cost of the lesson. Where the tutor is absent, the client will not be billed for the lesson; any monies already paid will be credited onto their next invoice.
  8. Scheduled tutorials will always take place on the day and time and venue specified, unless a tutorial is rearranged for a time that is mutually convenient to both tutor and student. Lessons will continue until a mutually agreed termination date.
  9. Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be billed to the client at a rate of no more than 1 hour of instruction.
  10. Although we work within the school curriculum, we do not do homework or assignment questions that are meant to be the student’s own work.
  11. We strive to provide the best possible service. However, we will not be held accountable or responsible for the academic success or lack thereof demonstrated by the student/client. Although we will do everything in our power to help grades and skill sets improve, we can offer no guarantee thereto.
  12. We are not liable for any direct, incidental, consequential, indirect, special, punitive or similar damages arising out of use of our tutoring service, or any errors or omissions in the content of our materials. You the client specifically waive any and all claims arising out of the use of this tutoring service.
  13. All materials we create in-house are copyright. You agree that you will not publish or distribute any portion of any materials without prior written permission from us.
